Laserism is definately against the rules of
beer pong. It occurs when, rather than a high arcing trajectory, one's return follows a fast, straight path toward teh opponent's cup. Generally laserism is obvious when it occurs, but oftentimes an objection is raised only after a point is scored in this manner. Some
beer pong courts have a mark on the wall, or similar, over above which a shot is generally expected to rise.
